Life is a series of rehabilitations
I joined through a recommendation. I decided to join because I trusted the recommender, agreed with the company's policies, and resonated with the representative's philosophy.
The ability to choose projects at my own discretion and the ability to be involved in changing company rules.
People who have an ideal within themselves and can proactively work towards that ideal.
Yes, I am glad. In my previous job, I felt a lot of stress from internal communication, but at Tech Reis, we communicate with mutual respect, which has greatly reduced my stress. Since my income is comparable to my previous job, I have no complaints at all.
Yes, it has improved. When selecting projects, they consider my preferences regarding working hours and location, so I can pursue my personal interests without having to give them up.
During my time at the kimono shop, I struggled with a low income, so I decided to acquire a skill and increase my income, leading me to switch careers to become an engineer. My annual income has roughly doubled since then, so it was a good decision.
I focus on two main points: "Develop while running" and "Develop with all possible scenarios in mind." For the first point, I break down the features I want to implement into small units, check each unit's functionality as I develop, and move on to the next once it is confirmed. This approach speeds up implementation. For the second point, it comes from my experience developing systems used by an unspecified number of people. For systems used by end users, there can be button mashing and special characters input, so I write systems that consider all possible scenarios.
I am involved in a project developing an e-commerce site using PHP. I handle everything from detailed design to development, unit testing, and integration testing.
I value communication. Since most of my communication is through text and online, I make an effort to respond. The one thing I cannot compromise on is health. It's most important to work in an environment that does not harm my health.
Both advisors are friendly and easy to talk to. They also think along with the engineers, making it easy to rely on them.
I am currently obsessed with reading health-related books and trying out what I learn, as well as advancing the IoT integration of my home. The best IoT improvements have been the switch bot (switch and curtains) and Alexa. [Advantages of switch bot and Alexa] With these, I can control the lights, adjust the air conditioning, and open/close the curtains with a single command. Before I implemented this, I thought, "I can just do these things myself," but after setting it up, I changed my mind. Every household should have this. The biggest reason is the automation of actions when waking up. The lights, air conditioning, and curtain controls are triggers for waking up smoothly. For me, waking up, turning on the lights, air conditioning, and opening the curtains was a heavy task right after waking up. There were many times I ended up going back to sleep without turning on the lights. With IoT, both schedule-based automation and voice activation are possible, reducing the effort needed for these actions to almost zero. For those who struggle with mornings, I highly recommend this (Google Home or other smart home tools are also fine). In the future, I want to implement smart home lighting. Currently, I use a switch bot to press the wall switch to turn on the lights, but it's harsh when the lights come on suddenly. Smart home lighting would allow for gradual lighting, starting to brighten the room 30 minutes before wake-up time. A freelance engineer we frequently work with has also automated locking and unlocking doors, and I aim to achieve that level of automation as well. [Bonus: Online Supermarkets] Though not directly related to IoT, online supermarkets have also been beneficial. Breaking down cooking into phases: ingredient procurement, cooking, and cleaning. Using online supermarkets reduces the time needed for the ingredient procurement phase to almost zero. For the cooking phase, I have significantly reduced time by standardizing recipes and using appliances that cook asynchronously (rice cooker, low-temperature cooker, egg boiler). The challenge now is cleaning up. Ideally, I would introduce a dishwasher, but due to space constraints, it's difficult. For now, I use disposable sponges and plan to introduce a soap dispenser to further reduce the effort required for cleaning.
In 3 years, I want to be working part-time hours with a similar income to now, ideally working three days a week. In 5 or 10 years, I might not be working as an engineer anymore... I am also interested in starting a business in the field of chiropractic. Additionally, I love dogs and want to get a large dog and live in a house with a big yard.
I would be happy to see more enthusiastic colleagues join us!
